So, I got my invitation from the Peace Corps in the mail the 13th. I'm going to Botswana! Okay for all of you who don't know where that is, its the country above South Africa. My assignment is the Community Capacity Building for HIV/AIDS Project. Basically a brief summary of what I will be doing: HIV/AIDS Education and Prevention, Orphan Care, and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission. 
Oh it has been such a battle to get everything done. I am really glad I decided to keep a journal of everything it has taken to get this far. I have about 2 months before I officially head out of here (April 16th for staging and April 19th for Africa). I was getting so stressed out wondering where I was going, so finally getting my invitation has been such a relief.
This whole blog thing is new to me, so I'm gonna try and figure it all out and make this something all of you out there are going to want to read on a regular basis. I will also put up a time line of my PC application process for anyone looking for info, I know I did.
