Time Line of My PC Application

So like I promised, here is the time line of my Peace Corps application journey.

July 2006
3rd - Submitted application
12th - Sent in loan information
14th - Application being processed

August 2006
8th - phone interview
9th - sent paperwork

September & October 2006
Nothing but doctors appointments and follow-ups

November 2006
20th - Sent in Medical paperwork
28th - PC received Medical packet
29th - Dental Clearance

December 2006
Nothing... extremely frustrating

January 2007
23rd - Sent more Medical paperwork in
23rd - Placement Clearance!
29th - Last Medical form sent in
30th - Medical Clearance!

February 2007
8th - Invitation sent from PC
13th - Got Invitation!
14th - Accepted Invitation to Botswana


It was a long process, full of constantly being asked for more information. Not only that, but also being asked to keep updating my community service and resume. I hope this helps. Good luck to anyone applying, remember to be patient, it just takes time. Also, make sure you are on the same page with your medical doctors. They can cause all kinds of problems if they are not equipped to answer all of the questions the Peace Corps requires. Again, Good Luck, feel free to comment with questions...
