Mophane Worms

This post is really for my Strang Crew… you know how you all were talking about me eating worms when I got to Botswana. Well I ate a worm, a Mophane worm to be exact. It looks a little like a caterpillar, but tastes like seaweed. We had a lesson on nutrition and apparently mophane worms are considered a delicacy by the Batswana living in the northern part of the country. I figured why not? If Batswana can eat the worms, so can I. And I was right. They taste pretty good. Nothing much to them, but I don’t know how often I will be able to get mophane, because they are only in season around I believe spring time here. The one I ate was dried, but apparently they can be eaten many different ways. I will let you know how each type tastes when I get the chance to try them. Tasha, thank you for peaking my interest in the first place. Hope all is well at Strang, I can’t say I miss working there, but I certainly miss you guys. Thanks for all your help in getting me where I am today. Good luck. Ohh and Susan, I hope you and Woodley are putting together a box of books to send me because I need to catch up on my reading!
PS I get the God channel here, and I get to watch half our authors on television every Sunday morning. It’s funny to see them on TV here considering I never watched them in the States. My family loves to watch John Hagee and Benny Hinn.

Kara,

Yuk...a worm. More power to you. I was so happy to read the post for the Strang crew. It has not been the same...we miss you.

I am so proud of what you are doing and all that is yet to come. Many blessings to you and my prayers for you is that God will continue to give you your heart's desires in all you do.

Have a blessed day, and thank you so much for remembering your crew at Strang!
